Behind the BTR forecasts
Methodology & Disclaimer
How BTR creates original tropical astrology forecasts, the sources and sign frameworks used, AI assistance and the limits of general forecasts.
How our forecasts are created
Beyond the Reading offers original astrology interpretations written with AI assistance. Our aim is thoughtful guidance, a little humour and practical reflection. The forecasts are not copied readings from another astrologer.
Last updated: 12 October 2026
The sky we reference
Our current forecasts use the geocentric tropical zodiac: planetary positions as viewed from Earth, expressed in tropical zodiac signs. Planetary positions and event timings are checked against published ephemeris tables and astrology calendars before being interpreted.
Current source records include Cafe Astrology’s 2026 tropical ephemeris, its October 2026 event calendar and The Working Sky. Earlier forecasts may reference Astrodienst’s Swiss Ephemeris tables. Referencing a published table does not mean BTR runs the Swiss Ephemeris calculation software.
Forecast dates identify each published edition. Current sky-event dates and times use UTC; convert them to your local time zone, where the calendar date may differ. Archived notes may retain their original numeric UTC offset. Event times may be rounded. Astronomical positions and timings are distinct from the symbolic interpretations we draw from them.
Which sign should you read?
Daily, weekly, monthly and love: choose your Sun sign or, if you know it, your Rising sign. Our current editorial framework uses whole-sign sectors, taking the selected sign as the first sector and following the zodiac through twelve areas of life. With a Rising sign this corresponds to a whole-sign house framework; with a Sun sign it is a general solar-sign framework.
Moon-sign forecasts: choose your natal Moon sign. These focus on emotional needs, inner responses and self-care. They do not assume your Sun/Rising house map or calculate an exact aspect to your natal Moon.
These are general forecasts shared by many readers. They do not use your individual birth date, time, location or complete natal chart. The separate Birth Chart feature is not the calculation engine for these published forecasts.
AI and interpretation
AI assists with drafting, organising and refreshing BTR forecast content. The astrological framework and BTR editorial guidance shape that writing. AI and source material can contain errors; a checked sky position does not validate a predicted personal event.
Astrology is used here as a symbolic framework for reflection and entertainment. It is not a scientifically established method for predicting individual events. A reading that feels relevant is not evidence that an event will happen or that someone has particular hidden feelings.
Disclaimer
Forecasts do not guarantee outcomes, contact, reconciliation, income or any other event. Keep your own judgment and observable circumstances at the centre of decisions. BTR content is not medical, mental-health, legal or financial advice and should not replace qualified professional support.
Our humour and fictional cosmic characters are creative storytelling, not factual claims about how the planets operate. You are welcome to keep what helps and leave what does not.
